2017 Mares Covered by Outcross Sires

So Gun Runner goes out in style before he heads off to the breeding shed at Three Chimneys. With doubles to Fappiano, Lyphard and Blushing Groom in his pedigree it will be interesting to see what mares fill his book.
Speaking of the breeding season, I have looked through the Report of Mares Bred for 2017. There was not a lot of good news for the North American based
outcross sires on your website.
Here's what my analysis revealed. Note: Numbers that appear in parentheses represent mares bred in 2016.
The only outcross sires to show an increase in the number of mares bred were: Gayego -
K One King -
and Skipshot -
The outcross sires who showed the biggest declines in the number of mares bred were:
All other North American outcross sires on the list covered fewer than five mares each in 2017.
A tough year for the outcross sires.
Hopefully their offspring will win a few stakes races in 2018 and rekindle mare owner interest
